N.B. gas prices show no signs of falling
There’s more pain at the pumps this week for New Brunswickers.
According to an industry source, the price of regular gas will go up six cents a litre when the prices are adjusted this week.
That would put the maximum price at nearly $1.76 per litre.
Diesel is on the way up as well, with a two-cent increase expected to push the maximum price to about $2.34 a litre.
The maximum prices in New Brunswick are currently at just under $1.70 per litre for regular gas and $2.32 per litre for diesel.
In Nova Scotia, regular self-serve ranges from about $1.69 to $1.73 per litre while diesel is selling for between $2.20 and $2.24 per litre.
On Prince Edward Island, the maximum prices are more than $1.81 a litre for regular self-serve, $2.32 per litre for diesel and over $1.78 per litre for home heating oil.
The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board adjusts prices every Friday at 12:01 a.m.
