Man arrested after stabbing in uptown Saint John
A 32-year-old man appeared in Saint John provincial court Wednesday after a stabbing in uptown Saint John.
Saint John Police were called to a report of a stabbing at a residence on Charlotte Street Monday night.
Officers found a 24-year-old man with a stab wound outside a business in the 100-block of Charlotte Street.
According to police, he was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to hospital for further treatment.
The suspect was arrested Tuesday morning on Waterloo Street.
He appeared in court Wednesday and charged with one count of assault with a weapon.
He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday for a bail hearing.
