Slight increase in gas prices, dip in diesel in N.B.
The price of regular gas is going up tonight, but just barely.
According to an industry source, the price will increase by just eight-tenths of a cent when the Energy and Utilities Board makes its scheduled adjustment Thursday night.
That would but the maximum price just over $1.78 per litre.
Meanwhile, diesel prices are expected to drop by just over a cent.
It will bring the maximum price of diesel down to about $2.44 per litre.
The maximum for regular gas is currently at just over $1.77 per litre, while diesel sits above $2.45 per litre.
In Nova Scotia, regular self-serve ranges from about $1.76 to $1.78 per litre while diesel is selling for between $2.42 and $2.44 per litre.
On Prince Edward Island, the maximum prices are almost $1.88 a litre for regular self-serve, more than $2.50 per litre for diesel and $1.86 per litre for home heating oil.
The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board adjusts prices every Friday at 12:01 a.m.
