Dryden Public Library sees increasing need for technology
The Dryden Public Library is more than just books.
Caroline Goulding is CEO and says they have seen an increase usage of their on-line resources.
She adds that they are helping the community, where they can, with technology.
“We’re finding more and more community members are asking for help with technology”, Goulding told Dryden city council in her annual report to the city.
“This can include help navigating certification websites for work, federal or provincial portals, assistance uploading job applications or other documents, creating new email and website accounts, how to set up new devices, like laptops, phones and computers. Assistance with learning how to text and email and a lot more. The library is uniquely positioned to help people use technology.”
Goulding adds they will begin working on a new strategic plan in the fall, and a new survey about their services is available on-line and can be found on the City of Dryden website.
She says they will use that feedback in drafting their strategic plan.
