SIJHL final even at two games each
Home ice does not seem to matter in the SIJHL final between the Fort Frances Lakers and the Thunder Bay North Stars.
After dropping the first two games on home ice the Lakers Tuesday night edged the North Stars 2-1 in Thunder Bay after a 4-3 win on the road Monday night.
A short handed goal by Carter Deschamps in the 2nd period proved to be the difference for Fort Frances.
Lakers netminder Brady Cates was the games first star stopping 33 shots.
The best of seven final now goes back to Fort Frances for game five on Friday night at 7:15 p.m.
