Manson tenders her resignation from Kenora city council
A surprise resignation from Kenora City Council.
Barb Manson has submitted her letter of resignation as of May 30th.
Manson is a first-time city councillor and a long-time city employee.
She did not give a reason for her resignation in open council Tuesday evening.
Under the municipal by-law, a by-election can’t be held after the end of March, but council can choose to appoint someone to fill the vacancy within 60 days.
A municipal election is already being held in October.
