CAT ferry in town ahead of 2026 season
The CAT is back.
The Bay Ferries vessel returned to the Yarmouth International Ferry Terminal over the weekend, a couple of weeks ahead of the 2026 season.
It spends the winter in South Carolina.
An economic impact study on the ferry that travels between Yarmouth and Bar Harbour, said there is a positive outlook for the vessel.
However, a long-term deal with the province has not yet been established.
Sailing season is set to begin May 14, operating Thursday to Monday until mid-June when daily crossings begin.
The season ends in October.
