Charges laid against former Fredericton police volunteer

Child porn-related charges have been laid against a former auxiliary volunteer with the Fredericton Police Force.

A 56-year-old man is accused of sexual assault and child pornography related offences, after an investigation by the Special Crimes Unit.

Fredericton Police says the man was an auxiliary member from 2010 to 2015, but the alleged offences did not occur during that time.
