Fort Frances receives funding for design work of two road improvement projects
The town of Fort Frances has received funding for the design work of a proposed roundabout.
The $183,168 is for the proposed project at the intersection of Central Avenue and Second, Third and Fourth Streets.
The town is expected to select a firm next month.
Another $99,062 has been received for the design work on the next phase of improvements to Scott Street.
That will be from Armit to Victoria Avenue.
No contracts for that section of Scott have been awarded.
Work on two sections is scheduled to take place this summer.
Bay City Contracting will be finishing up on work between Mosher and Crowe Avenues.
Makkinga Construction will take on the job between Mosher and Armit.
