Justice Pierre Muise retires
A long-time Nova Scotia Judge is retiring.
Justice Pierre Muise spent more than 16 years on the bench, serving Southwest Nova Scotia.
Muise was admitted to the Nova Scotia Bar in 1996, and practiced law for 13 years.
He was eventually appointed a Justice of the Supreme Court in 2010.
In a release, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Deborak K. Smith says Muise maintained a strong connection to his roots, and contributed to making sure there is access to Justice in French.
He also mentored students from France at Universite Sainte-Anne.
There are now two vacancies on the Supreme Court.
