Mellick Avenue closed for road work until October
The City of Kenora closed Mellick Avenue from Ninth Street North to Tenth Street North on Wednesday morning for sewer and water upgrades.
The project is expected to stretch into late October, with a schedule that runs from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays to Fridays.
The city advises pedestrians and drivers in the area to use caution around active construction and pay attention to nearby signs.
Local traffic can use Main Street Rideout, but larger truck traffic will need to loop around Veterans Drive to bypass the closure.
