NWOPA hands out mining awards
A couple of gold projects were the big winners of the Northwestern Ontario Propectors Association Awards.
New Gold and it’s Rainy River Mine was presented Developer of the Year honours.
New Gold has since been bought out by Coeur Mining.
Juno Corp has earned the award for Discovery of the Year.
That’s for a gold deposit located in the Ring of Fire called Big Thunder.
The awards were presented at the Prospector Association’s annual showcase last week in Thunder Bay.
