UPDATE: Shelter in place order issued for Salmon River, Colchester County
A shelter in place order was issued for Salmon River, Colchester County.
Early this morning, RCMP officers say two male suspects, armed with a handgun were seen walking around the Ice Pond Drive area.
Residents are asked to lock all doors and windows and stay inside while drivers were told to avoid the area.
One suspect wore a dark grey hoodie, green/camouflage pants, and a white shirt. The other wore all black.
Officers say they took the suspect dressed in black into custody just before 4:00 this morning, however, they are still searching for the second suspect.
At 6:40 a.m., RCMP cancelled the order for Cumberland, Hants, and Pictou counties, however, it remains in place for Colchester county.
