Several anglophone educators honoured for excellence

A big recognition for a handful of anglophone-sector edcuators.

The 2026 Minister’s Excellence in Education Awards go to four teachers and one principal in Anglophone School Districts South and East.

The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development says they include:

  • Heidi Jardine Stoddart, teacher (Quispamsis Middle School, Anglophone School District South)
  • Jamie Murphy, teacher (Sir James Dunn Academy, Anglophone School District South)
  • Kerri Titus, teacher (Harbour View High School, Anglophone School District South)
  • Jennifer Bourque, teacher (Petitcodiac Regional School, Anglophone School District East)
  • Marc Merhebi, principal (Dorchester Consolidated School, Anglophone School District East)

The awards recognize those who demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism, compassion, innovation and commitment to student success.

Education Minister Claire Johnson congratulates the recipients and says each one of them have made a “remarkable contribution” to advancing education in New Brunswick and helping learners reach their full potential.

“Through your commitment, you continually enrich the minds of New Brunswick’s future leaders, and, in so doing, you make the future brighter for all of us.”

The francophone-sector awards will be presented in the fall.
