Barrington Woolen Mill to open this summer

A tourist attraction in the southwestern part of the province will reopen again this summer.

The Cape Sable Historical Society says they are thrilled to announce that the Barrington Woolen Mill Museum will open as part of the Barrington Museum Complex.

It was through the Community Museum Assistance Program (CMAP).

The Mill is one of 12 museums that faced closure due to cuts in the provincial budget but also one of six that was saved due to the new funding.

The operating grant, however, is lower than the funding support they received annually. Because of this there will be adjustment to staffing levels and daily operations.
