There’s good news for diesel users this morning.
The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board activated its interrupter clause overnight on Thursday.
Diesel prices dipped 6.9 cents a litre and will now cost a maximum of $2.77.
Furnace oil also dipped seven cents a litre to a max of $2.70.
Regular gas prices didn’t budge.
The usual weekly price adjustments by the EUB will happen overnight tonight.
Those who use furnace oil and diesel are now paying even more out of pocket.

The maximum for diesel on Thursday morning now sits at $2.16 a litre.
Furnace oil is at around $2.06 a litre.
They each increased 11.9 cents a litre.
The price for regular self-serve gas remained the same.

Diesel prices rose overnight, up 9.6 cents a litre to around $2.04.
Furnace oil is also up 8.3 cents a litre to around $1.94.
The price of regular self-serve gas did not change.
Last week, the interrupter clause was invoked on the same day to increase diesel and furnace oil prices.
While the board didn’t give a reason for this week’s increase, analysts have been warning of rising North American fuel prices as conflict in the Middle East continues to push world oil markets higher.
