KV police seek info in arson investigation

The Kennebecasis Police are asking for the public’s help as they investigate an arson that occurred earlier this month.

On Feb. 9, police assisted the Kennebecasis Valley Fire Department with a structure fire at a business in the 0-100 block of Enterprise Drive.

The fire was quickly put out and investigators determined it was deliberately set.

No injuries were reported, but the fire caused damage to the inside of the building.

Investigators have released photos of a vehicle they believe was involved.

The vehicle appears to be a 2006-2008 Ford Explorer, possibly an “Eddie Bauer” edition with a loud exhaust system.

Investigators are asking anyone with information or video to contact the Kennebecasis Police at 506-847-6300, or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Police seek for 2 suspects after theft in Kennebecasis

The Kennebecasis Regional Police Force is asking for the public’s help to identify two suspects after a theft at a business on Hampton Road.

The incident happened on December 9 at 9:30 p.m., according to police.

Officers explained that two people went into a business in the 100 block of Hampton Road and took about $300 worth of items.

Police have not been able to identify either suspect.

The first suspect is described as a man between 30 and 35 years old with brown hair and a brown goatee. He was wearing a light brown jacket, a white and grey T‑shirt and blue jeans.

The second suspect is described by police as a woman between 35 and 40 years old with a medium build and long dark hair.

Police said she has a dark crescent‑moon tattoo on her left upper cheek and was wearing a black coat with light brown fur around the hood, along with black or brown pants.

Police are asking anyone who can identify the suspects or who has information about the incident to contact the Kennebecasis Regional Police Force at 506‑847‑6300.

Police investigating break and enter in Kennebecasis Park

The Kennebecasis Regional Police are asking the public for tips about a break, enter and theft on Thursday.

According to a statement, police received a report of a break and enter at a home in Kennebecasis Park between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Police want to speak to anyone who may have information or video of the incident.

Anyone with info can call the department at 506-847-6300 or submit a tip anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Two arrested in Rothesay with stolen vehicle

Two people are facing charges after Kennebecasis Regional Police responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle on Jan. 9.

Police received a report of a black GMC Terrain parked along Highway 111, the airport arterial, in Rothesay.

The report stated there appeared to be a person slumped over the steering wheel and the rear of the vehicle was damaged.

Officers located the vehicle with two people inside and determined it was stolen.

A 37-year-old man of no fixed address and a 35-year-old Halifax woman were both arrested and are facing charges of possession of stolen property and breach of an undertaking.

The male is also facing charges of breach of probation and possession of a controlled substance.

Both appeared in Saint John provincial court on Jan. 9. The male was ordered held in custody, while the female was released on conditions and ordered to appear in court at a later date.
