Fire destroys manufacturing plant in south shore N.S.

A modular home manufacturing plant in the south shore of Nova Scotia is completely destroyed after a fire in the early morning hours, Thursday.

In a statement on social media, Lloyoll Prefabs says the plant was not just a building but years of craftsmanship and relentless dedication.

“It was the foundation of our life’s work and today our family, and our staff are deeply shaken by its loss,” says the statement.

The fire closed Highway 3 in Brooklyn, Queens County, Thursday morning as crews battled the blaze.

Lloyoll says they are putting together a contingency plan and plan to have their team return to full capacity as soon as possible.

“We extend our sincere gratitude to first responders who arrived quickly and did everything in their power to contain the fire,” says Lloyoll.

“While this loss is significant, it does not define us.”

We have reached out to the fire chief for more information.
