Rick Boudreau Memorial Tournament to bring top golfers across NS to Yarmouth

It’s one of the most popular golf events on the calendar.

Over 100 people are expected to play in the 19th annual Rick Boudreau Memorial Golf Tournament on August 8 and 9.

It’s in memory of Boudreau, a former club president and championship golfer.

His son Derek Boudreau organizes the tournament, and is also a former provincial champion.

“It’s really special, near and dear to my heart. When this event comes up, I really spend a lot of time on it. And so many people knew my Dad really well, and so many come out and support him because they knew him,” said Derek Boudreau.

There are over $130,000 in prizes to be won.

Registration closes Monday evening, but spots are filling up fast, only a few remained as of Friday July 31.

Top players from across NS to take part.

Derek Boudreau hopes to be the one to hoist the trophy in memory of his Dad.

He’s won the tournament four times, most recently in 2024.

But Boudreau knows it won’t be easy.

Defending champion Cody Harvey is back this year, he’s also the 2026 Nova Scotia Men’s Amateur champion.

“I’m happy with my game this season, and I’m hopeful to be the winner. It’s one of the biggest singles events in the province, and the prizes are some of the best as well.”

Boudreau thanks all the sponsors, and says the tournament wouldn’t happen without them.
