Grads no longer need to reapply for zero interest student loans

If you have a student loan, you will no longer need to reapply to the zero interest program.

When the program was created in 2014, students had to reapply every year to show the government they still were living in Nova Scotia, according to a Tuesday news release.

But the province says you now only need to apply once.

They say cutting red tape means graduates can focus on paying off those loans.

More than 7,000 people in the province used the zero per cent interest program last year.
