A Bible Hill man is facing a second-degree murder charge following a lengthy RCMP investigation into a suspicious death in Colchester County.

Police say a 42-year-old woman was found dead during a wellbeing check at a home on Bomber Drive in January 2025.

Officers also found an unconscious man who was taken to hospital.

The death was later deemed a homicide.

RCMP arrested the 49-year-old man earlier this week in connection with the case.

He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear again in Truro Provincial Court at a later date.
