Kenora seniors home stricken by COVID outbreak
Visitor restrictions are now in place at Pinecrest Home in Kenora.
The District of Kenora Homes and Community Support Services says it is due to a COVID outbreak in the home’s Unit 3.
Six residents are reported to be affected.
All residents at the home are now permitted only two essential visitors at any one time.
There is also strict use of personal protective equipment when entering isolation rooms.
The tuck shop is closed, and all large group activities are cancelled until further notice.
The agency is also encouraging people who are not feeling well to refrain from visiting until they feel better.
