Water levels continue to decrease on Lake of the Woods
More evaporation at this time of year means water levels on Lake of the Woods have been going down.
That despite recent rain.
The Lake of the Woods Control Board says lake levels have gone down about 4 centimeters in the past week.
The Control Board says it is common in September for evaporation to remove more water from the lake than it receives from rainfall and runoff.
The lake is expected to decrease another 1 to 2 centimeters over the next seven days.
