24-unit apartment complex promoted in Fort Frances
A company with housing units across Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Dryden is behind one in Fort Frances.
Bridge Road Developments is planning a four-story, 24-unit complex at the former Shevlin woodyard.
It is being called The Commons at Shevlin, and is being promoted to adults 50 and older.
It is to include heated indoor parking, storage, and a common room for private events.
Each unit will be equipped with most major appliances, with rents to include most utilities and a maintenance charge.

In its marketing, Bridge Road described the project as a first phase.
No details are provided as to when construction will begin.
Fort Frances council recently agreed to fund a project through reserve funds that will lead to sewer and water services being established in the former woodyard.
