Ribfest raises $46,500 for Our Kids Count
Ribfest in Thunder Bay has raised $46,500 to support Our Kids Count.
The event took place at Marina Park from August 21 to 24.
“It was wonderful to see so many families come out and enjoy the festival,” said Jackie Knough, Executive Director of Our Kids Count. “At OKC, we’re all about ensuring families have access to the services and supports they need. Ribfest is a fun and free way to bring people together and celebrate summer, while also giving back.”
This year’s event was put on with the assistance of sponsors like Half-Way Motors, Northern Sheet Metal, Tbaytel, Standard Insurance, Waste Connections, Acadia Broadcasting, Equipment World, Tents and Events, APEX Security, Bebee Mechanical, Prezio Electric, Nova-Pro and the Community Foundation.
Michael Johnston also took home the 50/50 draw prize of $25,462.50.
