One dead following collision on Highway 11/17
The Nipigon OPP say one person is dead as a result of a collision last night near the Nipigon River Bridge.
The crash took place Thursday night around 8:45 between a transport truck and an SUV.
The driver of the SUV, a 37-year-old from Ottawa, was killed.
Two other people in the vehicle were injured and had to be taken to hospital for treatment of their injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
Highway 11/17 was closed for several hours but has since been reopened.
No charges are anticipated, but anyone with video footage of the incident is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
