Confederation College finances improve
Things are looking a little rosier for Confederation College these days.
In the past year, the college saw its operating grant from the province increase by $12 million.
It credits advocacy for funding changes as one of the reasons for the increase.
The college also engaged in partnerships with Seven Generation Education Institute and the Royal Canadian Navy.
Michelle Salo is president of Confederation College and presented the college’s annual report to the community.
“Confederation College continues to evolve alongside the communities and industries we serve,” said Salo,
“This year’s Report to Community reflects the strength of our partnerships, the resilience of our students and employees, and our continued commitment to creating opportunities across Northwestern Ontario. As we launch our new strategic plan, we are building on a strong foundation while positioning the College to respond to future workforce, community, and learner needs.”
The new five-year strategic is called Good Relationships.
It runs until 20231.
