Expropriation of Kenricia Hotel progressing
An update on the city’s plan to expropriate the Kenricia Hotel.
The Ontario Land Tribunal conducted a Hearing of Necessity last month.
The hearing determined the City of Kenora has the authority to expropriate the heritage building.
Now council has to decide if it wants to go through the expropriation process.
If so, it then has to issue a Request for Proposal to identify and secure a new developer for the property and the building.
