Ignace to carry out renovations to rec. center
The Township of Ignace is going to carry out signficant renovations to it’s community recreation center.
This is a two phase project and the town will embark on phase 1 initially.
It will include mostly external work, such as new roofing and siding.
Ignace says it will install insulated metal panels on the roof and insulated panels on the exterior of the building.
The town has secured a grant of $935,550 through the Canada Community Revitalization fund for the work.
Another two million dollars is being sought to complete phase 1 and for phase two.
Phase 2 will focus on the interior of the building and be completed at a later date.
