Clare man charged with attempted murder after violent assault; RCMP
A Clare man is charged with attempted murder after a violent assault.
Meteghan RCMP say it happened around 3 p.m. on April 9, inside a home on Belliveau Lake Estate Road.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A 33-year-old man from Belliveau’s Cove was arrested at the scene, he is facing 18 charges.
In addition to the attempted murder charge, he’s also facing aggravated assault and assault with a weapon charges.
The man also had outstanding warrants for other investigations, he’s still in custody after a court appearance last week.
His next court appearance is scheduled for April 23 in Digby.
