Road work to reduce traffic near Kane’s Corner

Traffic on several streets near the Kane’s Corner intersection will be reduced to one lane beginning July 5.

According to a city traffic advisory, the affected areas include Loch Lomond Road, Seely Street, Russell Street and Thorne Avenue.

The lane reductions are required to accommodate asphalt resurfacing work.

The project is expected to take approximately three weeks, with milling and paving scheduled between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

All other work associated with the project will be completed during regular business hours.

Road and sidewalk signage will be in place to guide motorists and pedestrians through the area.

The city advises motorists to drive with caution and remain aware of workers and pedestrians.

Residents are also encouraged to plan ahead and expect traffic delays in the area.
