Youth arrested after dangerous driving incident near Barrington
A 17-year-old has been arrested after a dangerous driving incident in Shelburne County.
RCMP say an officer spotted a grey Honda Civic without a licence plate near Clyde River on April 9 and tried to stop it.
Police say the driver did not stop and sped away. Officers did not continue after considering public safety.
Later, RCMP received a report that the same vehicle had collided with a Honda CRV at the intersection of River Head Road and Highway 3 before continuing on.
No injuries were reported.
Police later located the Civic at a home in Lower Clyde River and identified the driver.
The youth, from Bush Island, was arrested and faces charges including dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, and several traffic offences.
He was released and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
