Beyak Automotive Group continues support for Salvation Army
Many families assisted by the Salvation Army in Fort Frances will enjoy a turkey dinner this Christmas.
The Beyak Automotive Group is providing the financial support to purchase the tuwentrkeys.
Spokesperson Hailey Trimble says they have been helping out for the past six years.
“It’s just something that we feel very confidently about. We know how hard the Christmas season can be, and we love to be able to give back in that way to families in our community,” says Trimble.
Each family that requests a Christmas hamper will receive either turkey or ham.
Lastly, the Salvation Army filled nearly 270 hampers, many of which were distributed to families in need.
Auxiliary Captain Arthur Heathcote says the assistance from Beyak is very appreciative.
“If anyone paid attention to the cost of turkeys this past Thanksgiving, then you’ll realize how much of a help this donation is to the folks who are going to be coming, looking for help from us this season,” says Heathcote.
“We’re really grateful that Beyak Automotive Group continues to provide this for us every year. It’s a tremendous help.”
The Salvation Army is still accepting applications for this year’s hampers.
The deadline to apply is November 28th.
