Dieppe man arrested after child exploitation investigation
A 75‑year‑old Dieppe man was arrested after a child exploitation investigation, according to the RCMP.
Police say the case began in 2024 after illegal material was found online.
Mounties explained that the material was shared on social media in the Dieppe area in October 2024 and again in February 2025.
Officers searched a home on Bahama Street in Dieppe in December 2025.
Police said several electronic devices were seized during the search, and the man was arrested at the scene.
He was later released on strict conditions while the investigation continued.
Police said charges were laid in court on Monday.
The 75-year-old appeared in court the next day, entered a not guilty plea and set a trial date in February 2027.
Police are asking anyone with information about similar offences to contact their local police service.
