Drug trafficking investigation in Fort Frances results in charges against teenager
A 16-year-old from London, Ontario, has been arrested for drug trafficking in Fort Frances.
Provincial Police say the arrest came as part of a joint investigation that involved officers from the Rainy River District Detachment, their Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Treaty Three Police Service, the OPP North West Region Intelligence Unit, and the Kenora-based OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau.
An estimated $12,500 worth of crack cocaine was discovered.
The youth, who can not be named, is facing a charge of drug trafficking and one count of failing to comply with a previous court sentence.
The accused was being held in custody pending the outcome of a bail hearing scheduled for this week.
